Interview with Blure Collective

From Australia comes a lovely, outspoken, artistic woman making her strides in the Graphic Design spectrum. Who would have thought that we would reach out to someone on an Island with three time zones. Quby happened to designed our Blure Collective Twitter page----> www.twitter.com/blurecollective and we've formed some type of overseas alliance ever since LoL. If you follow her she makes for a good laugh, but she can get wicked with the best of them, don't steer her wrong cause she will strike back hard. So beyond the beautiful exterior and tough interior lies a deep spirited, creative soul looking to make her mark on the world. We think ya'll should adhere, and don't call her anything else just simply QUBY. Read on....
Explain to the people what is it that you do?
My main flow is Graphic Designing & Photography, but im also a Visual artist, Basically I create ART.
Any training?
Nope, no training, im self taught.
The way i see it, creativity can't be taught, you're born with it.
What types of software do you use?
Mainly Photoshop.
Whats your formula in making that perfect graphic design for your clients?
My formula is really simple as getting to know the client & their visuals, this helps the process of creating an artwork that suits them but also exposes my talent.
Name any notable people you've designed for..
Just recently did work for NFL Player Dez Bryant, along with Styles P and Black Wall Street. Also provided some sample work for Dr. Dre some months ago.

Where are you from? Describe your childhood. What's your family background?
I was born in Melbourne, Australia but I'm Turkish and Armenian.
My childhood was somewhat spent lonely, my only friends were literally my coloring pencils and paper. Back then it was hard for my parents to provide for me as they were new to Australia and they came with nothing but passports and the clothes that they were wearing. Though I'm very grateful that I had and still have my mother and father by my side, supporting everything that i do while living comfortably.

It seems most of your work are done for people/ companies in the States, any new moves in your future?
Haha, yes i have a big clientele base in the states, though it seems its slowly expanding towards Europe, which is always good.
There will be some movement, but you'll just have to wait and see.
How long have you've been doing graphic design?
I have been working in the Industry for 4 years.

What would be the ultimate company you would like to design for?
That's a hard question as there is a few, but my top two would be Apple, or XXL Mag.

You practice Photography also, what other things do you do or interested in pursuing?
I do a lot of visual art work in my own time. [when ever i get it!] I tend to do a lot of work with Charcoal or Pencil.
I also do Visual Merchandising for a few brands/stores such as Mossimo, STORM London Watches & Steve Madden.
Though business wise, im interested in setting up a Kiosk in one of the Shopping centre's here in Melbourne [Malls as some folks like to call them] of custom t-shirt print designs. I'll be personally there, taking the design requests & having them printed on the day. But thats just only half of it... you'll hear more of this in 2 yrs time, possibly months.
Where do you gain your inspiration for Photography and Graphic design?
I dont really have a source, inspiration for me comes in all shapes and forms, whether it be a magazine, lyrics or even food lol. Simple things that people dont see, I see different.

Which one gives you the most satisfaction?
I would say Graphic Design, Keeps my bank account happy and its something I love doing.

What's going on with the modeling, you have a way righteous look and you are very photogenic. Are we gonna see a full QUBY photoshoot?
Haha! appreciate that, though I'm not a model, nor do I intend to be one anytime soon. I like working behind the camera rather than infront. But I will take some shots, why not, haha.
Well will be holding our breath so hurry!

Name 3 of your favorite anythings! It can be a person, place or thing.
People who know me and reading this already know what im about to say... ORANGE JUICE! lol i refuse to drink anything else..
Chapstick & O.P.I Nail Polish, I'm a proud owner of 34 colors.
Yes somehow I knew you would say Orange Juice too :-)

So what's next for you Quby?
I take each day as it comes, So im ready for what ever. God is Good.
